ABOUT US

No matter what your age or your aspirations we can help you to get you where you want to be. For most players there is no final destination but rather the goal to simply be able to play more complex and challenging music.

This website contains a lot of information but if you have questions or need assistance there is no substitute to getting in touch - we are only a call or an email away and encourage you to come and talk to us.

Why Choose Us?

G4 and our approach

Insight, experience and ethos

Rich Constable founded Guitar Journey from his love of playing guitar.

Rich Constables experience playing on stage (as a member of The Kings of London) and in the recording studio offers students rare access to insight not offered by the vast majority of teachers. This background, the adoption of the G4 teaching method and a detimination to making learning fun and rewarding no matter what your age or ability adds up to a great learning opportunity for everyone.

Peace of mind

All our staff are DBS clear and have the training needed to get the best results from even the youngest students.

If you are an adult who has always wanted to play but for whatever reasons have been unable to until now - come and book a five-week introduction and find out why we believe we have the best learning system no matter how young or old you may be.

If you have Covid concerns we are now offering 1-2-1 zoom based lessons and can help
you set up your computer to get the most from this opportunity.

Why is learning to play guitar good for adult and childrens wellbeing?

Helping you play music quickly

Everyone at Guitar Journey is passionate about getting people of all ages playing music as quickly as possible.

As a parent you will want to know that your loved one will be in safe hands and will be supported throughout the learning process (see our Testimonials and Feedback page).

Our three programmes (Young Beginner, Junior and Senior) teach the guitar at a pace and complexity designed to engage with three specific age groups. Students quickly progress from 1-2-1 lessons to group lessons which encourage and support the student in positive ways.

Key elements to learning

The common element is that no matter what your age is you need several things from the guitar learning process.

  • The training must be accessible and fun.
  • It must contain structure and a road map to help develop your skills.
  • Practice tasks must be clear and easy to follow
  • You must be able to judge your progression and see results

Making the process easy

As part of the learning process practice is critical and the G4 system makes that rewarding and allows both the teacher and the student to record progression.

In the end, guitar playing is about playing music, it’s not about certificates or a grading process, it’s about inspiring the student to continue to learn and progress and not focus on a paper certificate.

No matter what your age or your aspirations we can help you to get you where you want to be. For most players there is no final destination but rather the goal to simply be able to play more complex and challenging music.
